Project Calendar

Here is our project calendar!

Sketch Model and Solid Model

Here's a view of our sketch model with the arm fully retracted up into the machine chassis.

This is the sketch model of our chassis, showing the gear system that will drive the arm as well as arm supports and a drive system.

This is a solid model of our machine. It demonstrates how the arm will fit into the chassis, as well as how the machine components will work together.

Our Team's Strategy

Our strategy for the ME 250 design project is as follows:

1.) Push and lift balls over to opponent's side of slot
2.) Scoop heavy balls into our machine's chassis
3.) Defend our side of the arena by blocking slot with arm
4.) Drive in a straight line

Our machine consists of chassis, arm, and scoop modules. The chassis will drive the machine forward and backward, and the arm will be driven up and down within the slot. The scoop at the end of the arm will rotate via a pulley system, and will scoop balls from the bottom of the slot. By coordinating these three motions, we will be able to lift balls from the bottom of the slot, drive them to the other side of the slot, and dump them in the opponent's side of the arena. We will also be able to store a heavy ball in our machine and drive over to the opponent's side at endgame, scoring more points for our team.

Hey all,

Here's a quick post to make sure that this blog is actually working correctly!
